About the author 

Monisha Bharadwaj is a qualified chef and an award winning author. She has contributed to many television and radio programmes, including the BBC’s Food and Drink show and Radio 4’s ‘The Food Programme’ about turmeric, has been a judge on Iron Chef America and made perfect rice on 'Inside The Factory' (ITV) . She runs a successful Indian cookery school in London called Cooking With Monisha (www.cookingwithmonisha.com). Monisha Is often invited to talk about Indian food and it's history at venues such as Kew Gardens, The British Council and SOAS, University of London.
